Tim cook's visit to India: Who will be benefited ? Apple or India

Apple CEO, Tim Cook arrived in India. Do you think his visit to India would be beneficial to India ? or it is just the other way around. Lets find out, Whats his (Tim Cook's) agenda.

Benefits to Apple:

  1. Reportedly Apple has only 2% market share in India and after reporting reporting their first ever decline in sales they have to focus more on other markets like India where there is huge demand for smartphone users.
  2.  Soon Apple will have its own retail stores in India but it will not be easy for apple to to service in a market where people have far less cash as compare to its home market. For this they need to understand Indian consumers very well as far as their spending habits are concerned
  3. Almost 60% of Apple's revenue comes from overseas market and a Market like India, Which will soon become 2nd largest market of smartphone users, Apple do not wish to leave any stone untouched.
  4. Apple also wanted to sell their refurbished smartphones in India for which they sent a proposal to ministry of telecommunication and information technology. But ministry refuse to give them the permission.
  5. Apart from this, Apple is trying to bring its "Pay Services" to India and that's the reason Tim Cook Made a visit to ICICI Head Quarters, Mumbai
Tim cook's visit to India would be focusing more on finding out alternative ways for above mentioned areas. Apple at any cost doesn't want to take any chance when it comes to dealing with 2nd largest smartphone market .i.e India.

Benefits to India:
  1.  Apple will soon have its "Technology Development Center" in Telengana which would create job opportunities for many.
  2. Apple announced plans to set up a "design and development" startup accelerator in Bengaluru, Cook also met executives from startups Numerics, Avaz, Sweetcouch and Urban Clap.
  3. Good nwes is that, Apples plans to manufacture iPhones in India, which will make it cost a bit less.

Conclusion: Tim Cook's visit would be beneficial to both India and Apple. They both need each other for upcoming growth opportunities to make maximum out of it.
